Making Homes more Energy Efficient
Since it's inception in 2005, Sustainable Solutions Unlimited has helped hundreds of homes in Portland be more energy efficient using principals of building science and sustainability. We take a holistic approach to making homes energy efficient, using principals specified by the Building Performance Institute.
Installing Solar and Wind Power Systems
For business and non-profit organizations we perform site assessments to ensure there is an appropriate solar or wind resource. If you are a good clean energy candidate, we can provide custom design and installation of solar and small wind systems, using local resources when available. We also advise you on the financial aspects of your clean energy project. From permitting to completion of your project, we provide comprehensive project management.
Filing for Incentives and Tax Credits
As a trade Ally of the Energy Trust of Oregon, we help our customers file for energy saving tax credits and cash incentives. For example, we help our customers file for the following:
Business Energy Tax Credit (BETC) with the Oregon Department of Energy
Residential Energy Tax Credit (RETC) with the Oregon Department of Energy
Cash Incentives from Energy Trust of Oregon for home energy efficiency solutions
Federal Tax Credit
Building Performance Institute Accreditation
We hold ourselves to a higher standard than other companies that provide similar services: we're Building Performance Accredited (BPI). All Home Performance Trade Allies of the Energy Trust of Oregon must employ Building Performance Certified employees. However, being accredited by BPI means that we go the extra mile to ensure that we find the true causes of energy inefficiency and solve the problem rather than just treating the symptom.
