Steve McGrath President Steve at solutions21st.com As the President and co-founder of Sustainable Solutions Unlimited, Steve is involved in the technical aspects of all renewable energy projects. He earned an AB in Statistics from University of California, Berkley. More recently Steve accomplished the MBA program at PSU where he focused on financial analysis. Also at PSU, Steve completed the Applied Energy Economics program. Steve has had an interesting array of job capacities, ranging from aerospace research and development to software development at Apple. When Steve clocks off for the night, he likes to relax by keeping up with the latest legislature that relates to renewable energy.
Adam Zielinski Home Performance Program Manager Adam at solutions21st.com As Home Performance Program Manager, Adam oversees every Home Performance project to ensure that each one meets his own strict quality standards, as well as those of the Energy Trust of Oregon, Building Performance Institute, and the Oregon Department of Energy. Adam is certified by BPI as a Building Analyst, Envelope, and Heating professional. He is also the general contractor license holder for the company. Previously, Adam developed his passion for energy efficiency at Conservation Services Group as the Field Manager for the Energy Trust of Oregon's Home Energy Solutions program. Adam has also served as a strategic planning consultant for the National Forest Service and National Parks Conservation Association. Adam earned his Master's degree in Business Administration at Portland State University, and also has a Bachelor's degree in liberal arts from the University of Connecticut. When he's not working, Adam enjoys playing volleyball and taking trips out into the forest or to the coast for hiking, camping, and road and mountain biking trips.
Tania Parks Project Coordinator Tania at solutions21st.com As the Project Coordinator, Tania is the first person you will meet at Sustainable Solutions when you contact our office. She educates home and business owners on both our Home Performance and Renewable Energy solutions. With her knowledge and experience of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainable building design she is excellent at discussing your building’s specific needs.
Tania brings over 8 years of work and volunteer experience to our team. Tania began her journey in the solar industry in 2001with her 3 years at Rainshadow Solar Electric in Orcas Island, Washington. Since she moved back home to Portland in 2004, she has continued on the solar path in various capacities including the Education and Outreach Coordinator at Solar Oregon, Oregon Green and Solar Tours Statewide, and Northwest Solar Cooperative. Tania has also been a member of the Governor’s Solar Energy Working Group in Oregon.
In 2008, Tania began her path in energy efficiency with Sustainable Solutions Home Performance program. Tania recently completed the National Sustainable Building Adviser Program hosted by Mt. Hood Community College, and in July 2009 she passed the exam to become a Certified Sustainable Building Advisor. In her spare time, Tania enjoys spending time in her garden, camping and hiking, dancing to live local music, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering to educate kids of all ages in the benefits of energy efficiency and renewable energy.
Ian Petrich Renewable Energy Project Manager Ian at solutions21st.com As a Renewable Energy Project Manager, Ian is responsible for ensuring that projects are installed to performance standards, delivered on budget and on time. He gained much hands on experience when he traveled widely with local nonprofit Green Empowerment, helping to deliver renewable energy systems to rural areas of the developing world. He holds a degree from Tufts University in Boston, MA and has pursued graduate studies in Economics at Portland State.
Michael Mintz Renewable Energy Project Coordinator Michael at Solutions21st.com As a Renewable Energy Project Coordinator, Michael will lead the project of installing a wind or solar power system on your home or business. After moving to Portland in 2002, he earned a BS in Environmental Science from Portland State University. He has taken the Abundant Renewable Energy Wind Program, and is an Oregon tax-credit certified technician. He's currently studying for his journeyman electrical license. When he's not working he likes to be with his family, bike, and restore vintage neon lights.

Bill earned the following Building Performance Institute Certifications: Building Analyst, Envelope, Heating, A/C and Heat Pump. He was part of the first round of Building Analyst Certifications that the Energy Trust of Oregon offered in 2006. Bill began his home energy retrofit career in Boston, where he worked with ventilation systems and was a building diagnostic specialist within the mold remediation industry.

She has over 15 years of experience in home construction, including foundations, framing, insulating, dry walling, roofing and custom carpentry work on log homes. Cory graduated from Portland State University with BS in Marketing and Advertising. While at PSU, Cory used any chance he could to learn about the challenges of marketing sustainable products and services. Cory volunteers with the Portland Master Recycler Program and has helped coordinate three neighborhood clean-ups in the South Tabor Neighborhood.
